Honesty and Mental Wellbeing
This week’s Founder’s Thoughts is a quote from Russell Wilson, “If we start being honest about our pain, our anger, and our shortcomings instead of pretending they don’t exist, then maybe we’ll leave the world a better place than we found it.”
Being honest about how we are really doing is the first step towards healthy living. It is okay to not be perfect or to not be in our best state of mind. Accepting where we are in our mental health journeys is how we start to heal.
Being honest about how we are doing and where we are in our own journeys can be a great way to connect with others and better understand ourselves and others. When we understand ourselves, we can better connect with others.
No one should be alone on their mental health journey. Understanding yourself and where you need help and seeking that help out is an amazing way to care for yourself. It is also important to recognize the power of connection and how beneficial it can be for you and those around you.
